Casa Marín was born from a bold dream spearheaded by María Luz Marín, Chile's first female winemaker. In 2000, she challenged the established norms of Chilean viticulture by committing to the production of high-end white wines, a revolutionary idea at the time. She also had the courage to plant vineyards in Lo Abarca, a coastal area with extreme conditions, considered unsuitable for grape cultivation. Her vision transformed this territory into an exceptional terroir that today gives rise to unique and internationally acclaimed wines.
Today, the new generation, represented by Jamie Verbraak, Felipe Marín, and Nicolás Marín, continues this pioneering legacy. Combining experience, creativity, and innovation, they work together to take the essence of Casa Marín to new heights, without losing sight of the connection with nature and the commitment to quality that defines the winery.

When you think of a traditional winemaker, you don't think of María Luz Marin. Founder of Casa Marín and affectionately nicknamed "the Crazy Woman of Lo Abarca". María Luz has defied all established norms in Chilean viticulture. With an overwhelming passion for the coastal terroir of Lo Abarca, María Luz has taken Chilean winemaking to new heights. Her bold approach and creativity have transformed winemaking into a true art form, creating wines that are not just drunk, but felt. As the winery's leader, she has managed to extract the essence of the Chilean coastal soil, creating fresh, vibrant wines full of character. Her passion for Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, and Pinot Noir is unparalleled, and her name has become synonymous with quality and authenticity.

Winemaker & Viticultor
Felipe Marin
He is the youngest son of María Luz Marin.. His passion for wine led him to study Viticulture in Sonoma, California, and later to specialize in Enology in Marlborough, New Zealand.
He is currently dedicated to developing sustainable production at Casa Marin, where he combines innovation and respect for the environment at every stage of the process.
His work focuses on the constant search for new aromas and blends, reflecting the uniqueness of each harvest. In addition, he has created his own lwines under the Viñedos Lo Abarca label, solidifying his creative vision and commitment to excellence.
Commercial Manager
Jamie Verbraak
Born and raised in the Netherlands, she studied Business Engineering and International Tourism Management, specializing in Tourism Development.
Her passion led her to write the book "Wine Tourism Development in the San Antonio Valley, Chile", a work that reflects her interest in the link between tourism and wine.
In 2008, after meeting Felipe Marín, she discovered her love for wine and for Casa Marín, which marked a turning point in her career.
She currently holds the DipWSET certification and is an accredited WSET instructor at levels 1, 2, and 3, sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with new generations of wine professionals and enthusiasts.
Operation Manager
Nicolas Marin
The eldest son of María Luz Marin, he is a Computer Engineer. Although he began his career in the technology sector, his life took a new turn when he became fully involved in the family business within the wine industry.
Currently, Nicolás is responsible for the operational management of the vineyard, playing a key role in the efficient and sustainable operation of Casa Marin.
His strategic vision and commitment to excellence have been fundamental to the company's growth.
