From the 12 th to 14 th of November, Citi Private bank held the conference of Global Inversions in the Hotel Four season George V of Paris, where more than 200 families of important heritage and prestige gathered on a global stage. The first night was celebrated with a gala dinner at the Louvre museum among the guests were her majesty the queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan, the famous designers Reem Acra and Christan Louboutin and the most successful reporter of BBC, Katty Kay. In all, there were more than 30 counties represented and all of them accompanied the most successful, global and distinguished figures from each country.
During the event, there was a panel with the history and story of grandest businesswomen in the wine industry. However, in the past, the wine industry has been predominantly dominated by men: 4 women from around the globe were chosen, 3 from the old world and only one representative of the new world. María Luz Marín of Casa Marín of Chile was selected to be the
representative of the new world because of her being selected as one of the 10 most influential women in the wine industry on a worldwide/global scale according to The Drinks Business magazine. Her dream and passion has inspired many up and coming entrepreneurial women around the world.
The panel was directed by the wine critic David Cobbold and the accompanying members of the panel were Albiera Antinori (President Antinori Wine Group, Italy), Corrine Menzelopoulus (Owner Chateau Margaux, France) and Nathalie Perrodo Samani (Owner Chateau Marquis d´Alesme, France). Each told their story; however, María Luz Marín dazzled the audience with her impressive story of being an entrepreneur and businesswoman and the challenges that came
with those roles. The participants, including two women of the panel, applauded María Luz, the representative of Chile, for the account of her force, dedication and passion.
It was a great achievement not only for María Luz Marín and her vineyard, Casa Marin but also for Chile and its wines.
