We are deeply proud and extremely joyful to announce that our Pinot Noir Lo Abarca Hills Vineyard 2004 won a Grand Gold Medal...
The originality of the Mondial du Pinot Noir is that it is the only contest of this importance including one variety of grape only. This focus, which is further enhanced by the finesse and subtlety of Pinots from all over the world, constitutes a real asset as far as communication is concerned. For the producer, it provides an opportunity for the quality of his products to be discovered. And the consumer will find, in the prizes awarded at the contest, guarantees of quality to guide his choice.
In less than ten years, the Mondial du Pinot Noir (MPN) has established a solid reputation amongst the major international wine contests. From its origins in 1998 with 400 mainly Swiss samples, by 2006 competition included over 1098 vintages from 18 countries. This exemplifies the representative nature of this contest which takes place in Sierre, Switzerland, and that has become a benchmark for Pinot Noir.
In the Mondial Du Pinot Noir 2007, that was held the 17th, 18th and 19th of August in Sierre- Switzerland, more than 1050 wines of all parts of the world participated.
